Hello! My name is Miriam Figueroa.

MY LOVE FOR GRANADA

Granada is a city I came to for love, and for love I stayed. It was a very drastic decision at the time, but I would never change it.

This is my home and my paradise.

OVER 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

I am a fortunate person because I have the privilege of being able to share with you two of my greatest passions: my work and the city of Granada.

I have been a tourism professional for over a decade and am a specialist in the historical and artistic heritage of Granada.

AVID TRAVELER

I consider myself an avid traveler who, every time I travel, loves to come back loaded with new knowledge and fond memories.

I have made it my job to be able to give this to others.

GUIDED TOURS AND EXPERIENCES IN GRANADA

Let me guess…

If you’ve come this far, it means you’d love to visit Granada but aren’t quite sure where to start or how to organize your trip.

If you are looking for an experience that makes you feel part of the most authentic Granada… you are in the right place.

Here you won’t find the typical robotic tours. Hospitality, warmth, kindness, and friendliness are, for me, key to creating a great experience and good memories.

My mission is for you to enjoy this incredible city with the same attention to detail and care with which I enjoy it myself.

I try to shed light on history and culture for my clients and guide them so they can enjoy the best of the city.

Personalized and intimate experiences in Granada

I design experiences tailored to you.

I include everything my travelers tell me is important to them and add the best I know firsthand about the city.

And it’s not all about memories; for me, the professional side of culture, learning, and sharing knowledge are just as important as the rest of the experience.

So if you book your tour with me, don’t be afraid to ask questions. I love teaching, and I’m always looking for new ways to make tours interesting and, of course, INTERACTIVE.

If you need information about logistics, hotels, transportation, the best locations, restaurants, etc. before coming to Granada, I can help you organize everything.

Any questions you have for me will be important.

Just send me an email or give me a call, and I will always respond. Being helpful and useful is part of my culture and values.

What would you like your experience in Granada to be like?

Tell me your preferences and receive a proposal that we can revise until it fits perfectly.

Miriam Tourist Guide: The best part of my job

Being able to pass on my knowledge is something I really enjoy about my profession.

But as a tour guide,  what I enjoy most  about my job  is undoubtedly knowing that your experience has been incredible.

One of the compliments I have received that I am most proud of is that I was able to shed light on the history of Granada for some young visitors and their parents.

As the mother of a daughter whom I adore,  it is a pleasure to inspire all my clients,  especially the youngest ones,  to enjoy knowledge and learning new things.

To learn more about my work, I invite you to explore my TripAdvisor profile.

As you can see, I am in love with Granada. I enjoy discovering every corner of the city and I love sharing it with my clients.

Some of the things I like most about Granada

My favorite neighborhood

My favorite spots are in Granada’s oldest neighborhood, the Albaicín.

👣 Walking through its streets is like playing hide-and-seek in its magical corners. Its viewpoints overlooking the Alhambra are the most impressive places in the city.

💗 Here you will find many restaurants that are perfect for the romantic dinner of your dreams.

My favorite cravings and tapas

I love good food, and our cuisine is another of Granada’s great charms.

  • Something sweet: our most historic sweet treat is the “pionono”. It’s almost considered a historical figure in the city!
  • Something salty: don’t miss the “Salaílla Granaína.” The “salaílla” is a bread dough cake covered with coarse salt grains and baked in the oven.
  • I recommend trying them with tender broad beans from the Granada valley, another seasonal product that will delight your palate.
  • Local cuisine and tapas. The best way to sample everything is to go out for tapas from bar to bar. Don’t just stay in one place; visit several.
  • Another good option for midday is to visit the San Agustín Market and sample our typical products.

If you prefer to have a local host guide your tapas adventure, I offer a Tapas and Culture Guided Tour. All in one!

👉 A little tip: if you go to a restaurant, ask them what seasonal produce they have available. You’ll be surprised by the quality.

Sobre Mí Miriam Tourist Guide

History and Culture of Granada

As a professional guide, another aspect that fascinates me about Granada is its history and its connection with the rest of the world in medieval times.

  • As well as being a huge melting pot of cultures, the city was home to great figures whom I admire and share in my guided tours: Queen Isabella of Castile, Emperor Charles V, the Great Captain, Christopher Columbus…
  • In Granada, you can explore all these characters and understand their decisions from a completely new perspective. You can feel what it was like to be in their shoes during their time.
